Ventrue rarely find themselves holding office as Scourge, but that's foolishness. The Scourge is the only Kindred in the Domain other than the Prince who can kill another vampire, and even if you're not particularly martial yourself, you don't want that power in anyone else's hands. Convince the claimants for Praxis to make you their choice for Scourge. 3. The best way to keep the investigation from pointing back at you is to own it. Whoever ends up in charge of the investigation, either buy them or disgrace them, whatever it takes to put them in your power. **
