Pack: [[Exculpation]] ## Character Notes All these vampires get so obsessed with their plots and schemes that they miss what's right in front of their faces. Not so with you. You have what a former packmate once called a "delightfully straightforward worldview". A problem gets in your way, you set that problem on fire. Simple as that. You're in this pack because nobody in Exculpation gets in your face about solving problems your way, and sometimes they even cheer when you light the match. [[E Spencer (Ductus)]] has been good to you, and to your packmates. They know how to wait for the right moment, and how to strike while the striking's good. Shit tends to go down a lot around them, but they're who you want on your side when that happens, so it all evens out in the end. ## Character Secrets You're a heretic, if only just barely. You weren't really a fan of the mission to hunt down and kill the Inquisitors of [[Reasonable Doubt]]. Truth be told, they were probably your favorite Inquisitors. The whole plan seemed like a classic case of vampires buying their own legend and biting off more than they could chew. With the rest of the pack so eager, you knew better than to argue against it publicly, but you were absolutely convinced that a fight between Exculpation and Reasonable Doubt would end with you and your friends dead on the ground. To keep that from happening, you passed intel to a member of the pack; [[N Carey]]. You didn't tell them who was hunting them, only that they were in danger and when the attacks would happen. It wasn't enough for them to formulate a counter and lay a trap, but it ensured the head-to-head confrontation never came. Until one night, all of a sudden, it did. The Inquisitors, exhausted from a long battle, hadn't known to escape ahead of the attack because the bird you sent was killed by a hawk somewhere in the mountains. Before you could do anything about it, the battle was happening. Incredibly, your pack succeeded. It was a vicious fight down to the very bitter end, and if luck hadn't been with you, you would have died half a dozen times. When the smoke cleared, however, Exculpation was master of the field. After some time spent hidden away in recovery, your pack discovered that a large number of vampires were converging on the ghost town of Megged's Hill, the place you fought the Inquisitors. You came to destroy any evidence and cover up any loose ends, only to learn that the same Inquisitors you thought you'd killed were somehow in attendance as well. Now, you're on damage control mode and hunting for answers. [[J Wagner]] of [[Fruit of a Poison Tree]] is just as fanatical as the rest of that pack of shoeless street preachers, but they do have some pretty good ideas about vampires taking over the world from mortals and putting some real monsters in charge. Your life would certainly get a lot simpler, and you can't help but think your pack would have a pretty enviable position in a system of worst-killer-wins. Maybe you should hear Wagner out. ## Character Goals You spent months passing intel to [[N Carey]] of [[Reasonable Doubt]]. They may not like it, but they owe you. Maybe if you can find a way to talk to them alone, they'll tell you how their pack survived the ambush. That would require you to reveal yourself as the mole in your pack, but if the information is controlled it could be worth the risk.
