Pack: [[Reasonable Doubt]]
Item: Snake Idol
## Character Notes
You are the flame of the Inquisition. By your hand have a thousand Heretics died screaming, and by your cleansing fire have countless penitents been reforged and made faithful anew. You are famed across the Sabbat, indeed across the world, as one who speaks with the full power of doctrine, and with the weight of the Inquisition behind your words.
[[R Park (Ductus)]], possibly the only Inquisitor more famous and powerful than yourself, has led you and your packmates to endless victory. All among the Sabbat know of your triumph against the heretical Salutarians, a pack which sought to make peace with the Camarilla and who were rounded up by your order and slowly tortured to death over thirty nights. This victory, like so many others, was wrought by your packmates, and their ferocious loyalty to your cause.
## Character Secrets
Oh no. Oh no. Oh hell, oh no. What the hell are you going to do? You were a nobody, you'd barely been a vampire three weeks when that snake-skinned dude invited you to a party. You figured that's just what vampires did with all their time, and didn't want to be rude, so you went. It was pretty weird, like that time you got the hard-sell to buy a timeshare, but this time they were pushing some weird snake god they called "Set". Before you could make a polite excuse and leave, however, the Inquisition was there and killing. You cowered under a table, which spared you an immediate death in favor of being taken captive for trial and *eventual* execution.
While you were being hauled from place to place with a bunch of other prisoners, kept bound and beaten often, you made friends with your fellow captives. One night, outside the ghost town of Megged's Hill, the Inquisitors took off and didn't come back. A few hours later, the snot-nosed kid they'd left to guard you all, and whom you intended to murder in your escape attempt, cut you and your fellow prisoners loose. The guard explained that they'd arranged the deaths of their entire pack, and wanted to join forces with you and the others.
You aren't sure you believed the story, but it was hard to dispute. Plus, you heard from one of the other prisoners that a whole bunch of packs were already in the area, and they all expected to find Reasonable Doubt alive and well. To avoid suspicion, and buy time until you can escape safely, you all agreed to impersonate your once-captors, with the help of the last survivor from their pack.
The night of your extremely ill-fated party at that Settite club, you found a strange trinket, a jade idol in the form of a coiling serpent. Uncertain what exactly possessed you to do so, you stole the idol and hid it away. To be honest, the idol itself is less important to you than the strange sense of comfort it brings, almost like you're being watched over. The Inquisition missed it when they searched you, and you don't think that the Inquisitor you're impersonating ever knew it existed at all. Yet somehow, [[M Whitehouse]] of [[Kangaroo]] knows you have it, and has been heard asking around about what you might want in trade. Does that mean they know you're not who you claim to be? Or do they simply know something about the idol you don't?
## Character Goals
You've heard of [[C Hardy]] and their pack [[Chain of Custody]], even though you've only been a vampire for half a year, and spent most of that as luggage. From what you've heard from other prisoners, and the idle chatter of the Inquisitors, it sounds like Hardy worships some kind of... demon? That can't be right. Vampires worshipping demons? Weird. Anyway, the Inquisition considers Hardy and their pack too dangerous to attack outright, which sounds perfect to you. Maybe you can find a way to befriend them and get the same kind of protection?
