Pack: [[Reasonable Doubt]] ## Character Notes Each member of your pack is famous for a reason, but none for so great a reason as you. Alone among the Sabbat, you have truly, permanently, killed a demon. Many Inquisitors have destroyed a demon's earthly shell, banishing it to the realm of the damned from whence it came, but only a handful throughout history have taken the next step. You, famously, are one of those who traveled to Hell itself in order to slay a demon on its home plane and thus kill it permanently. There is no greater victory, nor any more impossible to claim. Every night since, you have walked the earth as a (semi) living legend. [[R Park (Ductus)]] saw your spark, your power, and nurtured it. Along with the other members of your pack, legends all, Park has led you to war against the enemies of the Sabbat for centuries. ## Character Secrets Wait, the Inquisitor you're impersonating killed a *what*? That can't be true, right? There's no fucking way this vampire literally went to Hell just to finish a fight. That's impossible. Isn't it? You were part of an infernal cult. Barely. You didn't even realize the thing they were worshipping was a demon, you just figured it was some kind of goat-person thing. When the walls collapsed and the killing started, you realized that you'd found yourself on the wrong end of an Inquisitorial raid. You were captured, and spent the next eight months trussed up in a large suitcase, taken out only for torture and questioning. You had long since given up hope of escape when, suddenly, it happened. Near the ghost town of Megged's Hill, the Inquisitors left you and their other prisoners in care of some hireling they kept around for grunt work while they went off to "deal with something". A short while later, that hireling announced that they'd schemed the deaths of those Inquisitors, and you were all free to go. Unfortunately, as you were going through the Inquisitor's bags in search of money, you found a handwritten message. [[R Delgado]] of [[Habeas Corpus]] had passed word to the real Z Conner, warning them about some kind of giant infernal ritual happening in Megged's Hill. This, you figured, is why the Inquisitors came to the area, though the ritual was apparently dated to happen a few weeks later. The same note, however, mentioned that there were seven other packs in the area to investigate, which was a problem as they all expected to find Reasonable Doubt there and waiting. If you and your fellow prisoners fled into the night, you had no resources or means of travel, and the Sabbat would quickly discover that the Inquisitors were dead, and send forces to recapture you. Instead, you all decided to take the Inquisitors' possessions and impersonate them. That way, you would allay any suspicions and buy yourselves time to escape without drawing attention. ## Character Goals You think that your best way out is probably [[D Kennedy]] of [[Fruit of a Poison Tree]]. You overheard the real Inquisitors talking about Kennedy as a Heretic, which is probably bullshit, but it does mean Kennedy is unlikely to turn you in if they find out the truth. If you can find a way to let them know you're on their side, maybe Kennedy will find you a place in their pack.
