Pack: [[Voir Dire]] ## Character Notes The old and rich rule, and the young and poor serve. This is natural. This is the law embedded in every system of rule ever imagined. True, the Sabbat has some particular ideas about not letting anyone rule *because* they're old, but if you spend the years right, you don't need to fall back on counting nights to prove your worth. Instead, while others squander their time fighting over scraps of land, you seek to grow beyond such petty trifles. [[N Fox (Ductus)]], ancient and strange as they are, understands you perfectly in this. They demand loyalty, as is their right, but otherwise empower you to grow your own power base, and to invest your years as you see fit. The rest of the pack is similarly clear-sighted, even if their plans do occasionally run counter to your own, and you certainly prefer them over the whinging masses of the Sabbat. ## Character Secrets You are a Heretic. You do not believe in the Sabbat's childish notions of equality under Caine. You know in your bones that you deserve to rule, and that those who are above you are there by divine right, not through some failure of your own. The Sabbat may be unwilling to acknowledge simple truth, but you are wiser. And so you seek to build your own power base in hopes that you will one night be able to reveal your true nature, and to dare the young upstarts of this sect to challenge you so that your armies may be unleashed upon them. You're not there yet, but you're so close you can taste it. Now you just need some minions. For years now, you've kept an eye on the career of [[I Burke]] of [[Chain of Custody]]. You've watched them rise to prominence not because they're particularly powerful, but because they do their job professionally and conscientiously. Lately though, they seem like they're interested in forming the kind of alliances and secret deals that they've avoided for so long. They've made several covert overtures to your agents, suggesting that they might have an offer to make you. ## Character Goals [[U Saunders]], famed member of the most deadly Inquisition pack in history, [[Reasonable Doubt]], would be a perfect agent. Not only would it give you intelligence on the operations of the Inquisition, but you would have a terrifyingly powerful asset serving your interests, which could bear any number of benefits. Saunders is well-known for their cunning and political skill, so they might be willing to work with you, if you can make it worth their while.
