## Profile
**Corporate Role: Corporate Espionage**
Corporations don't compete in marketplaces - the market is just the scoreboard. The fights in the corporate world play out much like the way governments go to war - theft, espionage, and flawlessly timed 'accidents.' You were the product of one of Eschaton's experiments in this field - you have no memories before waking up in a laboratory, individuality wiped clean by your handlers and replaced with a fresh personality to turn you into the World's Greatest Spy™. Unfortunately, while you *are* the World's Greatest Spy™, the personality they chose for you included an entrepreneurial 'be your own boss' streak. After locking the doors, burning your handler's offices to the ground, and declaring yourself freelance, Eschaton recognized you for the professional that you were. This came with the kind of money corporate-types refer to as a "lifestyle change," and everyone else just calls winning the lottery.
## Ambition
You suspect that the methods that were used to create you were cribbed from some techniques designed by [[Conventions/PAX Unplugged/PAX 2023/Danced With the Devil/Unit 61398b/REDACTED|REDACTED]] of the Unit - and if your latest intelligence reports on the Unit are anything to go by, they have continued using those methods liberally. If tonight goes off successfully, it means this will be the last night you have to 'express your appreciation for their work,' if you know what I mean.
You're aware that Vespera Family and Twilight Cooperative have both been compromised - you don't have the identities of the agents, but you do have the pass-phrases that will be used to recognize them. *And,* in a stroke of true genius, you managed to not only intercept the messages, but exchange them - which means that their handlers will be looking for the wrong people. You're expecting this to be exceptionally entertaining.
Codephrase one: "The pool has been cut in twain"
Response one: "Then we shall wade through the mud"
Codephrase two: "The mole has snuck into the garden"
Response two: "Then the exterminator will need his shears"
## Claim
Espionage isn't just about taking information - it's about providing your allies, and enemies, with the right kind of intelligence. The key is making your information work for you. **Anytime you provide information to an ally *or* an enemy which changes their opinion on a situation, you may claim one Karma from the recipient.**
## Wyrd
The only time your side has ever lost is when your advice hasn't been heard, or has been heard and went ignored. You know this for a fact - you've run the numbers. Your entire business is intelligence, and the intelligence that you provide is the best. **Any time a player ignores your information or chooses to act against your advice, you must pay them one Karma.**
