## Profile
Aliases aren't uncommon in the Unit (in fact, you’re certain that you don’t know the true name of anyone on your team). Still, it’s an unavoidable reality that your ever - expanding collection of aliases has a fundamentally different function from your comrades. Whilst [[Conventions/PAX Unplugged/PAX 2023/Danced With the Devil/Unit 61398b/REDACTED]] flits through a stream of randomly generated personas as an intentional endeavor, you burn through names as a necessary precaution.
Decades ago, you acted as a spy for Vespera under the title “Agent 24601”. Since then, you’ve broken your allegiance with Vespera, and devoted yourself entirely to the Unit and their Mission. The primary issue arose when - years ago - you made a mistake, and allowed your machinations to be discovered.
Normally a rival agent discovering one of your plots would be no more than an annoyance to report back to [[Conventions/PAX Unplugged/PAX 2023/Danced With the Devil/Unit 61398b/E Harker]], who’d chew you out for your indiscretion, but nevertheless scrub the stain from the record. But when [[J Underwood]] - a rising actor from the Twilight Cooperative - inadvertently wandered into the wrong casting call, he apparently learned of more than just your machinations, and has been threatening to tell the Unit of your identity as a spy ever since.
Since then, every few weeks you’ve found some small trinket tucked onto your person-- a rosary engraved with the numbers 24601 on the cross, or a note pinned to the foot of your bed that revealed that your newest identity had been compromised, and you had been found again. Then you’d go about changing your name once more and wait for Underwood to follow.
Perhaps knowing an enemy is in your room should be terrifying-- and it is-- but the notes and trinkets were no more than a threat, a promise of things to come. Underwood never made good on their threats, despite finding you time and time again.
## Ambition
Well, until now… you haven't gotten a note or a notification from Underwood in the last few months, and that is starting to seriously worry you. You’d gotten comfortable with the dance you’d both been doing for so very long, and their silence can only mean that they’ve finally got bored, finally found the right opportunity…finally will make good on their promise.
They'll be at the Casino, and they'll have your name.
## Claim
You change names as easily as you change faces - there's a lot of power in having people always hunting the *last* person that you were. Sometimes you're amazed at how little effort it takes, how easily you can spin out a new persona with only the barest of fig leaves covering the deception and still see it accepted. **Any time a player accepts a fake name or identity from you (despite the obvious nametag you're wearing), you may claim a Karma from them.**
## Wyrd
Your every moment is consumed with thoughts of the consequences of being thought a rat. Traitors to the Unit don't get *simple* deaths - this is an organization filled with people who pride themselves on obsessiveness and meticulousness. What do you imagine an execution would look like? In this room, you cannot afford even the appearance of impropriety. **Anytime a player offers you assistance without payment or reciprocity, you must pay them a Karma.**
