## Background
You were born to see the truth. All will come to darkness, entropy cannot be denied. You gazed into the maw of the Leviathan’s Corpse and survived to know its truth…its bleak and terrible truth. Its cultists cannot know what they do, must not, or else they could not dare to continue their sacrifices and spur all worlds to their end. All is part of nothing, and nothing is part of all. The pitiful powers the Leviathan's Corpse gifts them are but a shadow of the mantle that will eventually bring about their end.
Before knowing the void you were of House Amazigh (pronounced Ah-mah-zish). The House of Amazigh is one of the twelve greatest powers in the galaxy, and at one point that would have given you a sense of pride. How empty a boast that seems to you now. You were an afterthought to your family, the castoff of a castoff, and so they thought to take you to the Leviathan's Corpse, the great monster that was the Empress' greatest triumph - or greatest failure. Your family had heard that the beast would reward sacrifices with power, and so thought to offer a sacrifice of their own. You imagine they thought that an offering of their own blood would be especially potent, and so you were presented with several dozen servants, held up before that abyssal maw. By some cosmic grace, by the strange and terrible mercy of the Leviathan, or by sheer dumb luck, you were the only survivor. You alone have born witness to the great beast and kept your sanity.
The death of the Plaguesmith was inevitable. Like everything else in this universe, no matter how wealthy or powerful you are, all will come to entropy. Like vultures circling a corpse, the various factions from amongst the star systems will come to fight over the scraps left in the wake of the Plaguesmith’s fall. For your “family” the Plaguesmith’s death is a terrible blow, as they peddled his superweapons to a degree that provided them tremendous wealth. Perhaps they are out of favor with the Leviathan. Either way you plan to play the part of a devoted family member until the Leviathan eventually comes, attracted by the opportunity to feed. Maybe you can repay your "family" by offering them up this time.
## Mechanics
### **Asset: [[Dragon's Hoard]]**
You are a member of one of the Great Houses. Thousands of worlds across the galaxy owe fealty to your house, with trillions of people living and dying at your whim. Even the least powerful members of such institutions can expect to live thousands of years, and to exercise such privilege as can hardly be described by those who've never experienced it. You have access to two pieces of Relic-class equipment. You may use this equipment yourself or give it away (or sell it, trade it, etc.).
### **Lien: [[Yoked to Tradition|Yoked to Tradition]]**
Great Houses don't bother with nonsense fantasies like "personal lives" or "individual identities". You exist to be a member of your House, and to serve that House's ambitions. While the high seat commands a great deal of power, not even they are above the dictates of the family at large. Your entire life is a balancing act, devoted to keeping as much of the family happy as possible without making anyone angry enough to be rid of you. Any time you have the opportunity to do something for the good of the house, regardless of the personal cost, you must do that thing. The only exception is when attempting a coup against another member of your own house, in which case you may inflict as much harm as necessary to secure your desired position. If you are publicly proven to have worked against your house's best interests, you will be summarily executed.
