Name: G
Holding: [[Sekpoli]]
Office: [[Merchant]]
## Background
You were born in a land of opportunity. Sekpoli is known as the cradle of humanity to some, a paradise of abundance to many others. You have become a merchant by trade, and you have closely studied the art that is remaining relevant in a galaxy where the technology changes from planet to planet and the politics change every minute. Sekpoli is rich enough in resources for you to have gotten started, but to make a killing? Well, your trade is best peddled to the desperate. In training you learned to be clever - in the field you learned to be vicious. You can’t let boundaries get in the way of earning your credits, from rare furs to exotic animals and precious metals. Always on the lookout for valuable items, you barely remember anymore whether your cargo is legal or illegal - you're always ready with a bribe at hand. You have to be all business because the alternative is ending up under someone's thumb.
The death of the Plaguesmith can only be looked at as an opportunity, as to believe any other line of thinking would affect your ability to make a profit. There are multiple political entities looking to tear each other apart, and many of them are going to be in close proximity investigating the Plaguesmith’s death. Red and Blue Station, Chaendaer, Traghan, alongside many others that are just looking for an excuse to start hostilities. Also, you’ve been getting your hands on some awesome tech from some unexpected places. The entity known as the Leviathan's Corpse, a force of nature that devours all it comes across, has inspired cults to spring up in many systems nearby. You’ve heard it grants particularly devout worshippers magical powers, although the stuff you’ve gotten your hands on thus far seems just like really advanced tech. Either way, you have some interested buyers, so you’re going to track some of the cultists down if you’re able to. With the possibility for so much death, and therefore much to devour, the odds of the Leviathan's Corpse or its followers showing up in a nearby sector is pretty high.
## Mechanics
### **Asset: [[Went to Market|Went to Market]]**
As a [[Merchant]], you are fundamentally concerned with the acquisition and disposition of resources. You begin play with three Resource Assets, and you may use, trade, or sell those resources as you see fit.

- [[Assets/Refined Materials|Refined Materials]]
- [[Assets/Fuel|Fuel]]
### **Lien: [[Blood Money|Blood Money]]**
The galaxy is not an innocent place, and commerce cannot be innocently conducted within it. The kind of resources necessary to be a player on the galactic stage simply cannot be sourced from a single planet, or even a few hundred planets, without brutality and oppression baked into the workflow. Your character's role in that brutality may be as direct or as removed as you decide, but they could not exist if not for a system built on violence. In order for you to trade on behalf of your Holding you must be accompanied by a martial [[Officers|Officer]] ([[Auxiliary]], [[Harbinger]], [[Operator]], [[Knight]], [[Admiral]]). You can still trade your own resources freely, but you cannot create a [[Trade Agreement]] unless a martial officer participates in the [[Negotiation]].
