## Profile You are a skilled thief with a penchant for high-stakes heists. You’ve led a number of different crews across the world and you’ve stolen from some of the highest security locations known to man. This has made you wealthy, but you were never after the money. You were always after the thrill. Unfortunately, this would lead you to dark places you never could come back from. During a fateful heist, you targeted a rare item held by [[Conventions/PAX Unplugged/PAX 2024/Danced With the Devil/Unit 50783/J Doe|J Doe]], who you now understand is tightly wound up in some kind of globe spanning conspiracy. It's hard to describe exactly what it is you stole - it looks kind of like a...well, its a sort of...its got this funny kinda...look, that's not the part that matters. The important part is that they didn't take the theft lightly, and you've been on the lam ever since. Any fence you checked in with wouldn’t take the goods off your hands. Even the sleaziest international art dealers wouldn't put it up in their offshore warehouses. To learn more about what you'd stolen, you had to go through…unorthodox channels. Through those channels you learned a little more about the truth of the world, and thankfully discovered a new application of your talents. You've become the Twilight Cooperative's go to person for acquiring evidence of the truth that you're all pursuing. ## Ambition You've never been willing (or able) to ditch your first find, and have experimented with it whenever the opportunity arose. And its a good thing too, as you've worked out it has some very interesting properties. Learning that it was tied up in some kind of brainwashing program in the 70's helped you figure out the weird effect it has on people's minds. No doubt it's been used for all kinds of monstrous things, but you've decided to put it to a good use: you've quietly made it the heart of Twilight's 'media plan.' When you hit the button, this thing will beam the truth that you've collected across the entire planet, and everyone will finally be ready to hear it. Its up to you to decide when the time is right. ## Claim You've always been fluent in the language of 'stuff.' The treasures a person protects reveals a great deal about their nature - and now you learn that there are things in the world that can unveil an entirely new world to you. **Anytime a player tells you a story about something they own, you may claim a Karma from them.** ## Wyrd You want the truth to come out, but only in the abstract - 'the truth' is something out there, external to you. As a professional thief who has been hiding the artifact they stole for years, you'd really rather keep the particulars of your involvement locked up tight. This can be somewhat awkward, given the peering eyes of your associates. **Anytime you answer a question directly without deflecting or obfuscating, you must award the character who asked the question a Karma.**
