Why are all of the monster hunters so very boring? They seem to be absolutely determined to focus on the least interesting aspects of the things they claim to be fascinated in; its all about feeding habits and preferred environments. I mean, with those kinds of focuses, why not just give up and work at a zoo? While these squares are running around wondering about the 'truth' you're the one getting the *story.* Your record speaks for itself - you were the first to break the story of Bigfoot's divorce, to get candid shots of Mothman while he was molting, and even found the documents to prove that the Loch Ness monster was in the country illegally. There aren't that many papers or blogs willing to publish your cutting edge exposés, but you've long since resigned yourself to it. All of the greatest geniuses of the world go unrecognized in their lives, after all. All that ever mattered to you is being the best, and you're confident that you are. Nobody in the wide world is better at finding the *real* story.
## Ambition
It's funny how many members of your Cooperative have come here with goals or agendas or ambitions. Don't they get it? *Being here* is the prize! There are monsters and wizards and hunters of the spookiest variety, all crammed into a single room. You're pretty sure you spotted the Jersey Devil's ex across the hall when you were coming in! This is a target rich environment for someone like you - all that's left is to pick your targets. Find a juicy story early enough in the night, and you might be able to make it to print before the world comes to an end.
## Claim
Your best work comes about when your target doesn't see you coming. Sometimes that means doing your research, coming into an interview with exactly the right sort of armor-piercing question, or even spending three days waiting in a tree to see the Yeti visit her estranged father. Whatever it is, you're strongest when catching them unawares. **Any time you manage to surprise or startle another player, you may claim a Karma from them.**
## Wyrd
You've only got so much time left to get your work done, and print deadlines are unforgiving in the modern media market. Every second you're not getting your story is a second someone else might be beating you to the punch. **Any time a player occupies your time with something uninteresting, you must award them a Karma.**
