## Profile
You and your partner, [[Conventions/PAX Unplugged/PAX 2024/Danced With the Devil/Unit 50783/The Short One|The Short One]], have been working together since before you can remember (literally). You’re the best of friends, and trust each other implicitly. Indeed, some people even confuse you for one another! Perhaps it’s because you both take turns swapping names, or perhaps it’s because you've been made to look literally identical…either way, what bliss! The Short one is a bit of a jokester and always pretends to dislike you, but you know that’s just their way of showing their love, and a way to throw the others off. Really, they are a genius! You’d rather die than betray them.
Your work is wonderful, and despite the whole debacle about the Casino not being part of any of your plans, you’re still optimistic. Together you and The Short One can get through anything.
You two are in the economics division, responsible for crashing and un-crashing world economies. You've known for a while that someone is messing with your ability to predict and influence the stock market, but you're not sure who it could be. Naturally, you suspect Caelum, as their magic shenanigans are always interfering with your plans, but you’re open to other suggestions. You aren't too put out by it, though, as the friendly sort of person you are. You'd much rather befriend whoever is responsible and use them to be even more efficient.
In your opinion, the matter of winning the apocalypse is best approached by making allies. You’ll gladly betray them, of course, but even fast friendships are worth their weight in karma.
## Ambition
From your preliminary research, Caelum seems the most likely faction to be involved with the stock market manipulation. They are fae-ish, after all, and fae are tricky creatures prone to whims and grand jokes. (You appreciate that about them, and have always considered that you would make a good Caelum, had the world been different.) The stock market has trended… tricky, recently. It’s difficult to explain in simple terms, but at any given moment, the market has been trending in the empirically optimal way to make the funniest possible Reddit post, according to your calculations. It’s brilliant, and must be the work of some genius. You simply must discover who they are, and gain their assistance with your larger goals.
You’ve heard through the grapevine that [[Conventions/PAX Unplugged/PAX 2024/Danced With the Devil/The Caelum Family/L Caelum|L Caelum]] is a very pleasant individual, so you’ve put them at the top of your list of people to scope out. Even if they are not the Caelum involved, you’ll be glad to make their acquaintance anyhow. Indeed, your primary goal this evening is to make the right friends, make many friends, and leverage those friendships to gain karma for the Unit…or take down the Casino trying.
## Claim
There are two things in this world that delight you more than anything else - being trusted, and knowing secrets. These should both be self-evident; trust and secrets are both currencies that have value in every market. **Anytime a player confides a personal secret in you, you may claim a Karma from them**
## Wyrd
Nothing destroys the value of secrets like spreading them, and nothing destroys trust like gossip. **Anytime a player reports someone else's secret to you, you must award them a Karma.**
