Convince the Myriadic Council to put the contents of the temple under your control. You are Admiral Hante, the "Underground Admiral." You're one of the most successful, and likely the most idiosyncratic, military officers in the history of [[Ebonwatch]]. Though not the oldest member of your Holding, you've seen the most action by far, and you've been a commander through nearly all of it. When [[Light Vaults]] open, the soldiers of your Holding move, act, think according to your designs. The result? Well, Ebonwatch is still there, isn't it? There's more to you, though, than the mind behind the march. You became an Admiral shortly after your first battle, when you saw incompetent leaders cost the lives of millions. It took more than a few assassinations, and a scrapbook's worth of blackmail, but you took command before the next Vault opened. You'll admit that the first battle under your command was ugly, but [[Catka, Who Sees in Darkness]] arrived in time to drive a spear through the heart of the Shatter Tree, and you learned a lifetime's worth of lessons. Those two experiences, of watching pointless deaths and realizing just how hard they are to prevent, have created in you a firm belief that all leaders, regardless of their claim to power, should be tested before they can be trusted. It isn't that you're anti-authority, quite the opposite. You've proven to your soldiers time and time again why they should follow you. If some Governor can't do the same? Fuck 'em. You've come to the [[Council of Chains]] because you don't trust any of the other Holdings not to blow themselves up and take the rest of you down with them. Your own Governor has earned your trust over the millennia, and they've made it clear that whatever's inside this temple is dangerous. Maybe an appeal to the Myriadic Council pointing out your twenty-six thousand years of experience handling danger will help. ## Asset: [[Total Encirclement]] You are an Admiral, commander of drone, soldier, and fleet. You are able to participate in any [[Combat]] and may allow any number of other characters to participate in that conflict on your side. If your opponent is unable to engage you in that combat scenario, you automatically win, and get to dictate the outcome subject to your advantage total and any adjudication by the Facilitator(s). ## Lien: [[Academy Pals]] You don't become an Admiral without politics. Luckily, you graduated from a Fleet Academy with a ready-made network of friends and favors. Unluckily, being a member of that network obliges you in turn. Any time a military officer asks you for help, whether it's information or actual assistance, you must provide that help unless you are actively at war with them. If you don't, your side loses one advantage from its total in your next [[Combat]] scenario.
