Goals: 1. Prove yourself as a strategist to the other militants of [[Ebonwatch]]. 2. Learn what life is like in other Holdings. 3. Find out if whatever's inside the temple would be a fun fight. If so, fight it. You are Auxiliary Wakpá, the "Young Warrior." Unlike most of your Holding's officers, you're barely over two hundred years old (technically, you're closer to two fifty now, since you took a near-light-speed craft to get here). Though you've faced plenty of danger, and proven yourself as a warrior and loyal child of [[Ebonwatch]], you alone of all those attending from your Holding have never seen a [[Light Vaults|Light Vault]] open. You've never faced that kind of extinction event, when your wits and your clear-sightedness were all that stood between your people and eschaton. As a result, you're often treated like the kid of the group. There is more to you, though, than a general going through growing pains. The truth is that you love fighting. Not fighting for survival, or for duty, or because it's what everyone else is doing, but fighting for its own sake. You love the person you become when your life is on the line; the courage and resilience, the sense of power over your own existence. For some time now, you've been wondering if you wouldn't be happier somewhere else, somewhere you could fight for fame or wealth rather than survival. You find yourself idly daydreaming about life on some far-off planet, where people fight monsters because it's fun, not because it's their solemn duty. It isn't a noble dream, perhaps, but it feels nice. You've come to the [[Council of Chains]] because your Governor ordered it, and the life of a militant is to follow orders. You're excited about it for two reasons. First, there are apparently going to be nine other Holdings represented at this temple thing. Second, there are rumors that there's some kind of monster inside the temple, which might finally give you a chance to prove yourself... and the chance to fight a monster, which is pretty awesome by itself. ## Asset: [[Close Quarters Chaos]] You treat your body not as a temple, but as a tool for causing as much harm as possible. In Local, Regional, or Planetary [[Combat]] scenarios, you add one to your side's advantage total. You do not need the assistance of any other character to participate in non-Fleet Combat Scenarios. You are not considered vulnerable for purposes of the Asset [[Cohen's Legacy]]. ## Lien: [[Sworn Sword]] You have promised your service to your Governor, and to fail in that pursuit is to be remembered as a failure for the rest of time. Any time your Governor is in danger or subject to public attack, you feel compelled to spring to their aid. You don't necessarily have to attack anyone, or even speak up, but if you can't find some way to show your support, you become irritable and despondent for a time, believing yourself to be a failure.
