Goals: 1. Convince the Myriadic Council to assign [[Ebonwatch]] its own protective [[Voidstalker Corps]] fleet under your command. 2. Find the best warriors present for the Council of Chains and convince them to come work for you. 3. Prevent the contents of the temple from being used to harm civilians. You are Funa of Ebonwatch, the "Guerrilla Governor." You have held primacy over your Holding for more than twelve thousand years, longer than any of the nations under your power have existed, and you've been at war the entire time. This is because your Holding is surrounded by [[Light Vaults]] -prisons crafted by some of the galaxy's greatest powers to hold those threats too dangerous, too valuable, or too strange to kill outright. For them, anyway. Whether it was the dragon made of wasps, the obsidian shard which cursed all who beheld it to a million years of pain, or even that one zombie horde, you may have suffered greatly to put down those crawling monstrosities, but put them down you did. There is more to you, though, than an implacable Governor fighting impossible battles. You haven't kept your place atop one of the galaxy's most dangerous Holdings purely by cunning or violence, but because you've always believed in people and you've always made a point to invest in them. You know that if you were just the grizzled soldier of your public persona, Ebonwatch would have collapsed millennia ago. It is your passion for forming human connections which has truly protected your people, binding them into a single whole capable of surviving anything. You've come to the [[Council of Chains]] at the behest of your patron, [[Catka, Who Sees in Darkness]]. For millions of years, since long before you took up the fight, she has warred to protect your people from monsters beyond comprehension. For this, she is worshiped. You're here at her request to ensure that whatever power is unleashed, it is turned toward the many monsters and terrors of the void, not innocent civilians. If you can find allies for your endless war, even better. ## Asset: [[Powers that Be]] As a Governor, your power over your Holding is very nearly absolute. Whatever you choose to do, and however you choose to do it, so long as you commit neither Treason nor Heresy, it is within your rights. You have the ability to appoint [[Officers]], give those Officers orders, and make any decision regarding the management or administration of your Holding. You act as the final authority on what is and is not allowed or required, with no appeal and no oversight. ## Lien: [[Heavy the Head]] There is no moral way to have the power of life and death over billions of people. As such, there is no such thing as a good person who is also the Governor of a significant Holding. Whenever you are given the choice to further your personal goals, you must attempt to do so even at the expense of those around you.
