Goals: 1. Give someone common sense advice in a high stakes situation. 2. Get some sort of ridiculous law passed by the Myriadic Council. 3. Find a compromise that prevents the Holdings in attendance from going to war over the temple. You are Diplomat Fincastle, "Everyone's Scruffy Best Friend." As the sole diplomatic representative of [[Guthrie Hall]], a Holding infamous for producing revolutionaries by the shipload, you've spent most of your very long life making sure your people have as many friends as possible. Holdings with lots of friends are much harder to wipe out. At least, it's harder to do without getting some tough questions. You've spent half a million years traveling the length and breadth of the galaxy, ensuring that the citizens of the Hall can find welcome -and a willing audience- anywhere they go. There is more to you, though, than the cheerful herald of rebellion. Your long wandering has led you to see the galaxy at its very best, and very worst. You've walked crystalline halls orbiting supernovae, and you've seen smog-choked hellworlds filled with billions of brutally oppressed victims. In all this time and experience, you've reached a single conclusion; the galaxy is what you make of it. You haven't spent five hundred thousand years or more advocating on behalf of your people purely out of a sense of duty, but out of a sincere desire to reshape the galaxy into a place with more friends and fewer enemies. You've come to the [[Council of Chains]] because, as much as you love your people, you don't trust them to go ten seconds without fomenting a war of all-against-all. They need your cooler head to prevail so that they can continue spreading rebellion far into the future. As an added perk, you've never been to *any* of the other Holdings represented at this council, which makes the whole thing a chance to make new friends on entirely new worlds. You know that [[Myriadic Council|Myriadic Councils]] tend to take themselves a bit too seriously, so maybe you can find a way to lighten the mood without getting in trouble. ## Asset: [[Plenipotentiary]] You often find yourself performing complex negotiations light years away from your Governor. As a result, you get a significantly greater degree of latitude than most Officers. You may enter a [[Negotiation]] without notifying your Governor or receiving their approval, though they will still be notified of any results. Your Governor can revoke this power by publicly stripping you of plenipotentiary status. ## Lien: [[Living on Room Service]] You've spent your life working on behalf of people you never see, people you're unlikely to ever meet in person. This separation has left its mark. You struggle to engage with those from your home [[Projects/Myriad/Holdings|Holding]]. If you go more than five minutes without interacting with someone outside your Holding, you become irritable and frustrated. After ten, you will make any excuse to get away, even if you know it will make your life harder in the long run.
