Goals: 1. Find someone to be your arch-rival. 2. Ensure that you're part of any military alliance. 3. Use the power inside the temple to strike a distracting blow against the [[Celestial Empire]]. You are Auxiliary Soghan, "Guerrilla Warfare's Finest Child." The sole martial officer of a Holding famous for its long, bloody grudges, you are, to put it lightly, kept pretty busy. So busy, in fact, that you've never really gotten around to making any enemies. This makes you a bit of an oddity among Halans, for whom grudges are like wines; the older and more esoteric, the better. You aren't exactly looked down upon, or anything, but you definitely feel a little left out when the other officers start talking about people they've been trying to destroy for centuries. If only you could say the same, perhaps you'd be seen as more than the muscle in everyone else's plans. There is more to you, though, than an aspiring vendetta collector. While it's true to say you lack grudges relative to the stereotypical Halan, it's not entirely fair to say that comes from a lack of available time. The more honest explanation is that you've just always gotten along well with people, and it's tough to get you upset. You've tried, of course, to find someone who might be willing to hate your very being, but every time you end up liking them and forget to be an asshole. For all that your people naturally make enemies, you've always had the same knack for finding friends. You've come to the [[Council of Chains]] because your Governor and all the other officers are here, and you have absolutely no confidence in their ability to avoid getting into a death feud. That doesn't bother you overmuch, but unless you can put together a bit more muscle than just yourself, getting them back *out* of that feud might prove tricky. As well, you know that your Holding is likely to end up in rebellion sooner or later, which becomes much more survivable if the Empire is busy fighting for its life. ## Asset: [[Close Quarters Chaos]] You treat your body not as a temple, but as a tool for causing as much harm as possible. In Local, Regional, or Planetary [[Combat]] scenarios, you add one to your side's advantage total. You do not need the assistance of any other character to participate in non-Fleet Combat Scenarios. You are not considered vulnerable for purposes of the Asset [[Cohen's Legacy]]. ## Lien: [[Sworn Sword]] You have promised your service to your Governor, and to fail in that pursuit is to be remembered as a failure for the rest of time. Any time your Governor is in danger or subject to public attack, you feel compelled to spring to their aid. You don't necessarily have to attack anyone, or even speak up, but if you can't find some way to show your support, you become irritable and despondent for a time, believing yourself to be a failure.
