Goals: 1. Lead an [[Endeavor]] to craft a grant commemoration of this event. 2. Spark a bidding war for something you've made or helped make. 3. Commune with whatever power is inside the temple. You are Artisan Milbanke, "Crafter to the Stars." For almost two hundred thousand galactic years, you've attempted to do the impossible; to bring the beauty and wonder of the Dream into reality. You spend far less time in the Dream than most Karizmians, stepping in every few years, and even then only for a few minutes. Many believe this to be some sort of phobia, but the reality is the opposite. The Dream fills you with such wonder, such utterly fundamental joy, that you don't want to risk growing used to it. You enter the dream only as often as strictly necessary to spark your imagination, then return to reality and your efforts to elevate it. There is more to you, though, than a waking Dreamer. You're sincere in your desire to bring the Dream into reality, but you're perhaps a bit savvier about how you do it than you let on. You've watched many of your elders waste millennia without resurfacing, some taking a full Karizmian Burial and never returning to reality, and it has taught you that the Dream -miracle of miracles though it may be- is as deadly as any trap. By treading softly there, and returning to sell your newfound wonder to the highest bidder (and the bids are always so very high), you -literally- get the best of both worlds. You've come to the [[Council of Chains]] because [[Kari Who Spun the Dream]], source of all your Holding's power, has disappeared. No one knows what happened to them, exactly, but their personal Dream was destroyed and the evidence suggests they were investigating this temple. A [[Wend]] can't die, that's what it means to be a Wend, so Kari is still out there somewhere. You don't know where, but you suspect that whatever's inside the temple is going to possess at least rudimentary intelligence. Maybe, if you can communicate, you'll find Kari. ## Asset: [[Love's Labours Lost]] As an Artisan, you understand that not every creative or technological work can be created with the explicit permission of the powers that be. That's not to say you don't value a [[Governor|Governor's]] input, but you don't feel the need to rely on administrators to guide your work. You're the expert, after all, that's why you're here. You can lead an [[Endeavor]] without a Governor's direct involvement. ## Lien: [[Glamour-Drowned]] You cannot help but see the scintillating wonder in every raindrop, the infinite possibility of every acorn dreaming itself an oak. A sunrise on the ocean is enough to leave you senseless with awe for hours at a time, heedless of an approaching shark. You're willing to sacrifice nearly anything for your art, and hate being forced to compromise for little things like "survival." If you're ever forced to abandon a project, you become despondent and miserable.
