Goals: 1. Develop a comprehensive understanding of each Governor's plans for the Myriadic Council. 2. Negotiate an alliance with a Holding that can provide [[Karizmi]] with martial support. 3. Convince someone to leave their Holding and join Karizmi. You are Diplomat Mamun, the "Fastidious Professional." In a world full of Dreamers, you're the person who spends their time in the real world, ensuring Karizmi has the allies and trade agreements it needs to survive. Too often, your people assume their technology makes them immune to politics. You know only too well that, in truth, it makes them vulnerable. After all, nobody wants to invade and steal your resources unless you have resources to steal. Deal by deal, contract by contract, maneuver by maneuver you give your people the cover they need to Dream worlds beyond measure. There is more to you, though, than a clipboard-wielding deal maker. You're somewhere near six hundred thousand years old, though you don't keep very careful track, and you haven't set foot in the Dream for more than half a million of those years. That isn't because you don't want to, your first time in the Dream spoiled you for reality, forever. It was magical, beautiful, safe, more perfect than you could ever have hoped. No, you've spent the interminable ages away from the Dream precisely *because* it's heaven. You feel a deep-seated, incontrovertible responsibility to bring as many people into the Dream as you can. There, they can live any life they imagine, far away from [[Celestial Empress|Her Majesty]] and Her [[Celestial Empire]]. You've convinced almost a dozen worlds to join the Constellation of Karizmi, and countless individuals. One day, when you've decided you've saved enough people, you'll join them again in that promised land. One day. You've come to the [[Council of Chains]] for three reasons. First, your Governor is here and you make a point of giving them the support they need. Second, your most recent military alliance ended recently (they were eaten by some kind of space monster, details unclear) and you need a new one. Finally, maybe there's someone here to save. ## Asset: [[Plenipotentiary]] You often find yourself performing complex negotiations light years away from your Governor. As a result, you get a significantly greater degree of latitude than most Officers. You may enter a [[Negotiation]] without notifying your Governor or receiving their approval, though they will still be notified of any results. Your Governor can revoke this power by publicly stripping you of plenipotentiary status. ## Lien: [[Living on Room Service]] You've spent your life working on behalf of people you never see, people you're unlikely to ever meet in person. This separation has left its mark. You struggle to engage with those from your home [[Projects/Myriad/Holdings|Holding]]. If you go more than five minutes without interacting with someone outside your Holding, you become irritable and frustrated. After ten, you will make any excuse to get away, even if you know it will make your life harder in the long run.
