Goals:
1. Learn what the other Holdings value and use that knowledge to your advantage.
2. Invest your wealth by using it to form powerful alliances.
3. Use whatever's inside the temple to empower the Dream, somehow.
You are Merchant Harun, "Always Weighing and Measuring." Your Dream is a vast and orderly place, where you can organize your thoughts, analyze your acquisitions, and generally use it as a galaxy-sized second brain. This supernaturally organized approach has served you well for the quarter million years of your life. You've become a wildly successful merchant, able to move entire planetary economies on the strength of your whims. You can assign value to anything in the galaxy, great or small.
There is more to you, though, than a perambulatory ledger. You've been so successful as a merchant because you, alone of all your people, understand the true power of using the Dream to affect reality. You've used your Dream to analyze galactic markets, predict trends, and perform arbitrage on a scale beyond human conception. Yes, all of those things are financial, but more importantly they represent a blending point between the "real world" and the Dream. You've done things in the real world which would have been impossible without access to the Dream. The more places like that, where the Dream encroaches on the real world even through second-order effects, the grander the Dream will become, and how could anything in the galaxy matter when weighed against that?
You've come to the [[Council of Chains]] not only for your typical, economic motivations -nine Holdings you've never encountered represent a drool-inducing market opportunity- but also because you suspect the temple has some relationship to the Dream. [[Kari Who Spun the Dream]] was investigating it when they disappeared, after all. You're not certain, but you suspect that whatever power is contained within the temple, it has the ability to make the Dream even greater than it already is. You're hopeful that you'll be able to sway the Myriadic Council to give Karizmi control over the temple, but that's going to take some serious insider trading.
## Asset: [[Went to Market]]
You begin play with a number of resources. These resources are represented by cards marked "Raw Resource", "Refined Resource", or "Fuel". These resources may be expended to fulfill other characters' Liens, spent in service of [[Endeavor|Endeavors]], or traded in [[Negotiation|Negotiations]]. You can't lead Endeavors or Negotiations without a Governor's express, case-by-case permission, but you can participate in them and lend your resources as you see fit.
## Lien: [[Blood Money]]
The galaxy is not an innocent place, and commerce cannot be innocently conducted within it. The kind of resources necessary to be a player on the galactic stage simply cannot be sourced from a single planet, or even a few hundred planets, without brutality and oppression baked in somewhere. In order for you to lead a [[Negotiation]], in addition to permission from your Governor, you must be accompanied by at least one Martial officer (from any Holding).
