Goals: 1. Work with an artist to create something grand. 2. Work with a Governor, your own or another, to achieve their goals through the Myriadic Council. 3. Argue against the opening of the temple as poorly as you can without being obvious. You are Speculator Ada, the "Visionary Behind the Visionary." In a world of Dreamers, it would be easy for the Dreams to become monotonous and stale. You, more than any other [[Karizmi|Karizmian]] have devoted your life -all hundred and fifty thousand years of it- to ensuring this doesn't happen. You wander the galaxy collecting inspiration, and spread that inspiration from Dreamer to Dreamer wherever you can. It's hard to describe the deep sense of satisfaction you get seeing a world grow more elaborate, more interesting, because of your contributions, but you chase that feeling constantly. There is more to you, though, than an endless font of big ideas. As much as you love the Dream, you recognize that it is fundamentally limited. Nothing crafted within a Dream universe can escape that place, and even the lessons learned there have only limited applicability in a world where most people don't have godlike powers. You don't think it has to be this way. You've spent all this time wandering the galaxy and carrying back inspiration not only to keep the Dream interesting, but in hopes that you'll either stumble upon or help synthesize the piece of knowledge needed for the Dream to become reality. Each addition to that incomprehensibly complex network is another opportunity for the entire galaxy to finally share in the Karizmian Dream. You've come to the [[Council of Chains]] because you want the temple opened and whatever's inside unleashed in hopes it might carry the knowledge you seek. If it was important enough for [[Kari Who Spun the Dream]] to disappear in search of it, then surely it's related to your quest in some way. Old habits die hard, however, and you're not entirely comfortable putting this forward as your own idea. Instead, you plan to join the people arguing against the temple's opening and find ways to undermine from within. ## Asset: [[Staking Claims]] Your work isn't just about having a huge pile of currency to invest. That helps, of course, but it's hardly the whole story. No, a good Speculator is good at picking trends and giving them the support they need, whatever form that may take. In any [[Negotiation]] where you participate, your side automatically gains two advantages, three if there's more than one culture (Holding, Great House, or Religion) represented on the other side. ## Lien: [[Stuck in the Zeitgeist With You]] To be a successful Speculator, you must be informed, involved, and invested. To do otherwise is to be out of step and in danger of booking losses. Any time you find out about a [[Negotiation]] in which you were not a participant, you expend one Resource of your choice without effect. If you have no Resource Assets, this Lien has no effect.
