#### History
The agency has always known about the existence of the 'other' in this world. You, on the other hand? Definitely do not believe in magic. When you were a kid and your parents tried to tell you that Santa was real? You took your dads' every left shoe and hid them in your room until Christmas had passed. If that red-obsessed bearded old man were real, you definitely would have gotten coal, but nope - a crisp, ironically red bike was waiting under the tree, and the receipt was in your dad's coat pocket, completely forgotten.
You tried not to let them know you knew, returning the shoes in the dead of night after a New Year's party and never mentioning it again.
So, you joined the agency because some small, dark part of you wanted to be convinced; and the lion's share of you wants to do the convincing and get paid to watch dreams die against the boring truths of the world. Also, you like finding things. Like receipts, lost car keys, and left shoes.
The agency dispatched you and [[A. Holly (Agent)]] to the country at Christmas - they've noted some weird anomalies - how exactly does a piemaker in a small town pay the mortgage on their house and branding and ingredients and still have time to win every award at every town fair, while barely selling any pies at all? Why is it that it's snowed on Christmas Eve here every year for the last century? How does the mayor ([[H. Fezziwig (Mayor)]]) manage to get everyone to their house to celebrate when the roads out of town are nigh impassable?
You've got a dossier full of unanswered questions, and somehow [[A. Holly (Agent)]] keeps running off. Agents always work in pairs, but you can't tell if they take the job seriously or not. Sometimes you get the sense that they have a good nose for a lead. Other times, you think they've never met a hobby they didn't want to add to their growing collection. You're trying to focus forward, keep [[A. Conifer (Agent)]] in line, pay attention to your surroundings, blend in, catch good evidence, not scare away the magic before you can get that evidence, not burn any bridges that you might need for future work, and get out before your cover is blown.... and you're trying not to look at the growing stack of spinning plates as you check your to-do list before the mayor's big party.
