#### History
You find mystery every where and every when you look. The agency hired you because you have a forgettable face and a willingness to go where they send you. It's why they keep you on despite the many missteps on your path so far. You've collected as many hobbies as you have unanswered questions, and the agency has issued you three red cards, indicating that you'll be quietly discharged if you bring back another unidentified flying monster in place of evidence, photographs, or samples.
They've assigned you to [[A. Conifer (Agent)]], someone that you've worked with before. You're sure that you've seen them smile at least one time, though never at you. You like working with them because they've got a good eye for a false lead (you have no idea how they do it) and a good nose for fun (just like you!), and honestly, you know that the two of you make a good team - you're certain that with their help, you can sniff out the reason the agency sent you to this small provincial town... and while you're here, you might have time to pick up a new skill or meet someone who remembers your name for more than a few hours at a time.
You've also caught sight of [[B. Snakt (Lost... Elf)]] since you've been here. You're pretty sure that they're an agency informant and their presence here in addition to you and your partner isn't lost on you. They might be willing to provide good intel if you approach them in a way that doesn't blow everyone's cover wide open.
You've already gotten an invite to the big Christmas party that the mayor ([[H. Fezziwig (Mayor)]]) throws every year, and you have heard rumors that everyone in this small town is treated like family - something that you've never had a chance to experience. Surely one of them will be able to point you to where you can find proof of magic. You started searching for the unknown in hopes that someone, somewhere would finally see you, the work you do, and the ways you love the world around you. They say that lost things are always in the last place you look... Maybe the path to the recognition you've been seeking lies in providing proof to the agency; or maybe it's somewhere else, someplace you haven't yet thought to search.
