#### History You've been the mayor in town for a little while now, and honestly, you love it. You love the big hats, the big parties, the parades... but there's nothing you love more than the winter season and the joys of Christmas. Choosing a tree for the town square, being a judge in the baking contest (the town pie maker wins again!), and singing carols door to door bring you a sense of leadership and true joy. Every year, you host *the* annual Christmas Party, and the whole town is invited. Everyone comes together with heaping plates of food, laughter, music, and romance. You often enjoy playing matchmaker, predicting who will fall in love under the mistletoe - you like to leave the screen door unlocked so the young can hold hands and walk through the snowy Christmas Tree farm, dreaming big dreams of their futures. You've caught wind that [[L. Fritz (Ingenue)]] is coming home - you know a few people that miss them. There's also the new neighbors ([[W. Nysse (Yuppie)]], [[D. Nisse (Yuppie)]], [[O. Nausse (Yuppie)]]), who have never been to a Christmas Party in town before - ah! to experience it all for the first time must be a delight. In fact, you have quite a few new people on the guest list this year. You invited [[A. Holly (Agent)]] and their partner so you can keep a close eye on them. Who knows what their intentions are. And then there's the business folk from the city who seem to be very interested in the economics on main street; and you've caught wind that a few other out of town folk are here - the more, the merrier, you always say. Someone's got to keep everything together and make sure that Christmas joy and magic doesn't get completely steamrolled by investigation and innovation... but you have a few ideas on how to bring them to care for the quiet joy of home just as you do. #### Questions Is it ok to nudge people to pursue romantic relationships regardless of what that might mean for their other passions? Is it possible to find love for yourself when you are busy finding love for everyone else? If you keep your enemies close for long enough, do they become your friends? #### Opportunities Convince or enable someone to pursue someone else romantically. Convince an outsider to stay in town when they might otherwise choose to leave. Prevent [[P. S. Latte (Piemaker)]] or [[M. Drossel (Toymaker)]] from selling their businesses. Get to know your out-of-towners and new neighbors better ([[D. Nisse (Yuppie)]], [[O. Nausse (Yuppie)]], [[W. Nysse (Yuppie)]], [[S.P. Rossman (CEO)]], [[A. Conifer (Agent)]], [[A. Holly (Agent)]], [[B. Snakt (Lost... Elf)]]. #### Special Note You know, or know of, basically everyone - the townies you have known for a long time. Out of towners you made an effort to invite to your party.
