### History
The agency has always known about the existence of the 'other' in this world. You, on the other hand? Definitely do not believe in magic. When you were a kid and your parents tried to tell you that Santa was real? You took your dads' every left shoe and hid them in your room until Christmas had passed. If that red-obsessed bearded old man were real, you definitely would have gotten coal, but nope - a crisp, ironically red bike was waiting under the tree, and the receipt was in your dad's coat pocket, completely forgotten.
You tried not to let them know you knew, returning the shoes in the dead of night after a New Year's party and never mentioning it again. At that age, you loved to be right, and you couldn't tell if it bothered you that you had been right about this, or that you couldn't brag to anyone about it.
So, you joined the agency because some small, dark part of you wanted to be convinced; and the lion's share of you wants to do the convincing and get paid to watch peoples' hopes and dreams die against the boring truth of the world. Also, you like finding things. Like receipts, lost car keys, and left shoes.
The agency dispatched you and [[A. Holly (Agent)]] to the country at Christmas - they've noted some weird anomalies - how exactly does a piemaker ([[P.S. Latte (Piemaker)]]) in a small town pay the mortgage on their house and branding and ingredients and still have time to win every award at every town fair, while barely selling any pies?
