#### History
You always knew that you would need to leave home to be successful. There wasn't much call for a designer of your caliber at home, and no one seemed to understand your desires or ambitions. Sure, it was hard to say goodbye to your family. You didn't so much break up with [[R. Blitzen (Town Hottie)]] as just leave home without even saying goodbye or giving them a forwarding address.
That's why you asked [[S.P. Rossman (CEO)]] to stay in the big city this Christmas... So you could say your final goodbyes and celebrate your successes in life with your family and childhood friends. At least, you think you told SP Rossman to stay behind. It was a whirlwind of packing bags and trying not to think about old memories.
Thinking back, there were a number of people that you didn't make much effort to say goodbye to, thinking that you'd have plenty of time to come back and visit. You have fond memories of [[N. Williams (Cousin)]] following you around copying you as kids; you remember [[H. Fezziwig (Mayor)]] trying to convince your [[R. Fritz (Dad)]] to do the polar plunge every year; and you even remember that time [[C. Ringle (Friendly Old Man)]] gave you the advice to follow your heart, which you did, all the way to the big city.
Christmas was the best of times and the worst of times - it always highlighted the beauty of the country landscape, but shining a light on things has a habit of showing the cracks in them. You want to see your old friends and relatives succeed, but it's hard to explain to [[M. Drossel (Toymaker)]] and [[P.S. Latte (Piemaker)]] that if you close your shop for 11 months out of the year, you won't be able to pay premium mortgage for that downtown corner window; they're lucky that [[K. Marley (Banker)]] is so scattered, it's probably given them more time on a few late payments...
Regardless, your parents are excited to see you, and you can finally say that goodbye to your ex (are you exes?) that you've owed them for many years. You've had a long train ride to think about what you want, but that time has just made it harder for you to tell exactly what it is that you want.
