#### History
You're proud of your [[L. Fritz (Ingenue)]]'s achievements in the big city. They have chased their dreams as far as that horizon line and you think there's something in that. You miss them of course and you read their letters with [[T. Fritz (Mom)]], and you're looking forward to sharing Christmas eggnog with them.
This time of year is always a little hard for you. You miss the Christmas Tree Farmer, the father of [[Y. Comet (Town Hottie)]]; he was a good friend and an occasional lover, before you settled down with Mom and he left to work upstate. It's amazing to you how much Y. Comet has taken after their parent, caring for the woods and working with the town. You feel just as much pride for their accomplishments as you do in your own child. And you've noticed the struggles of [[M. Drossel (Toymaker)]], and the blind joy of [[H. Fezziwig (Mayor)]] isn't doing anything to keep those with bad intentions from circling in the wake of what feels like insurmountable odds.
You've been trying to figure out how to make amends with [[T. Fritz (Mom)]]. You've known something is wrong for a while, but every time you try to connect, you get the sense that you're missing a few of the fuses that will make the lights shine more brightly than ever. The tension just adds to the feeling you've been having, that everything is falling apart.
With all the new folk at [[H. Fezziwig (Mayor)]]'s Christmas party this year, you think maybe someone can give you the right advice on how to show Mom that you love them more than ever and that you want to keep working with them to support the town you both grew up in. And if not... well, best not to think of that when there's work to be done and cheer to be spread.
